Lloyd’s of London – combining 科技nology and manpower

挑战

VSG (a Mitie company) has provided security services to Lloyd’s of London since 2010.

In 2016, Lloyd’s launched a tender process to appoint a Global Corporate 安全 Risk provider. In testimony to the high-quality services we had delivered for Lloyd’s, we secured a contract to protect their premises and people in key operating locations across the globe, including the iconic Lloyd’s building in the City of London.

解决方案

We created a unique security solution that leverages our state-of-the-art Global 安全 Operations Centre (GSOC). The solution included:

  • 载人安全
  • 设计, 安装, commissioning and ongoing maintenance services of an integrated CCTV, access control and security management system

It is underpinned by our highly experienced security team who play a pivotal role in mitigating risk, creating a safe and secure environment, and delivering service excellence.

2017年初, acknowledging the dramatically changing operating landscape, we also created a new Front of House Manager role and introduced new customer-facing members to the team.

结果

Our ongoing liaison with the City of London Police and other organisations means we can effectively identify and implement service improvements while offering guidance and expertise to Lloyd’s in physical security and emerging risks.

The systems we manage detect movement and relay 事件 via video, while our security guards patrol the building and alert the police of 任何违反者. Our GSOC proactively sources and disseminates threat 情报 via research and social media monitoring. 如果发生 significant incident our GSOC 警报 relevant stakeholders through ‘flash’ 警报.

其他信息

  • The Lloyd’s building represents a challenge to urban explorers/climbers, who consider conquering the building a rite of passage climb. Following incidents either witnessed by our team or brought to our attention post-event (e.g. 通过社交媒体), we have installed additional cameras on the roof of the Lloyd’s building in London, as well as at climb points at the foot of the building.
